As a brand new business, Prefab needed a polished, well-positioned identity to establish credibility from the first impression — earning trust from a market encountering the service for the first time.

Working directly with the company’s founders, StudioRd Design helped to construct target personas and organization profiles that would directly benefit from having such an infrastructure already in place.

In developing the Prefab voice, we created a brand foundation that speaks to their two primary and disparate audiences: Developers and Product Managers

 

Solution

 

With a self-evident name like Prefab (as in, pre-fabricated), it was a no-brainer to lean into a visual language reflecting speed, convenience, and the resulting joy teams feel when adopting the service. The sense of hassle-free accomplishment is captured in a vibrant and playful identity that is balanced with a more technical suite of flow-diagram graphic treatments.

Our spaceship A signifies lift-off from the very beginning of your journey, and plays on a sense of pop-culture Trekkie nostalgia. The muted rainbow palette is a stark contrast from the more drab-looking norms of the industry, helping Prefab to approach an otherwise tedious setup process with more fun and excitement.
